Tai ChiThe practice of Tai Chi has been touted to help reduce the effects of arthritis, lower blood pressure and improve balance. Tai Chi is also a great exercise for people who cannot tolerate the rigorous demands of regular karate practice or who just simply enjoy the slow and beautiful movements of this practical and effective martial art. Our classes in Tai Chi are offered to students from 16 years of age. Students begin their practice with Yang style Tai Chi and may progress to Chen style and Chen Tai Chi Sword form. In General, the practice of Tai Chi is equal aerobically to a brisk walk. Our classes also teach the martial application of the postures inside of the forms. This understanding of application gives your practice a more defined sense of purpose. Our program includes Qi-Gong practice. A free Tai Chi class for senior citizens is offered every Thursday in Gibbstown at 9:30 am.
